The Joy of Giving Back

The Joy of Giving Back

Hi, I'thousand Julie. Lover of all things Plum and a proud fellow member of the Plum Parents Squad.

If I could write a honey note to Plum's products, I would. I never leave the firm without a Plum snack in my diaper bag. Car rides, grocery store trips, doctor'due south visits and play dates; I can't proper name all the times these snacks have prevented public meltdowns. At domicile, my daughter learned to feed herself by grabbing for Puffs with her chubby little fingers. Later a long day of work with no food prepped for dinner, pouches saved the 24-hour interval with organic fruits and vegetables ready to serve my baby.

I loved Plum Organics for their products making my life easier long earlier I knew anything more about the company.

Almost a year agone, I was invited to get a Plum Parent and meet with the team at their offices in Emeryville, California. I was overwhelmed with the level of idea and research that goes in to making the almost nutritious foods for babies, tots and kids. Their delivery to helping moms and dads master this parenting affair was impressive, but what surprised me was the focused mission to apply their business organisation for good and to give back.

I experienced this commencement paw as I volunteered alongside Plum employees at an event run by the charity Convoy of Promise. Families in need were treated to a carnival with music, food and games then sent abode with new shoes, a fresh haircut, groceries and lots of Plum goodies. Vi months later I had the privilege of gathering friends to purse upward fruits and veggies at my local food banking concern backed past a generous donation of food from Plum.

That'due south been the most surprising and rewarding part of being a Plum Parent…the giving. Giving back and giving out. Plum has supplied me with boxes of snacks for children every bit well as goodies for parents to relish (wine spectacles for the win!). Giving out gifts to my friends and some complete strangers has been a joy. Information technology almost always leads to swapping parenting stories, offering words of encouragement and finding common footing over our common love of puffs and pouches.

Julie Vlahon lives in the Sacramento surface area and is mom to six calendar month quondam Jordan and three year old Siena. Go along up with her and all of our Plum Parents hither.
